PHILADELPHIA, June 22 (UPI) -- Jamie Moyer continued his dominance of Cleveland Tuesday, tossing eight strong innings in the Philadelphia Phillies' 2-1 inter-league victory.

Moyer (8-6) improved to 8-0 in his last 12 starts against the Indians, limiting them to only two hits and a walk, allowing one run and fanning five to give the Phillies their first win in three games.

Brad Lidge picked up his fifth save by striking out the final two Cleveland batters.

Philadelphia scored both of its runs in the first inning on a Ryan Howard RBI single and Jason Werth's sacrifice fly.

Matt Talbot (7-6) was the hard-luck loser. He settled down after the first, allowing just the two runs on four hits over seven innings.

Russell Branyan socked a solo homer for Cleveland.
