SEATTE, Wash., June 20 (UPI) -- Felix Hernandez struck out nine Cincinnati batters Saturday en rout to a 5-1 complete-game victory for the Seattle Mariners.
Hernandez (5-5) scattered five hits and a walk in his second complete game this season and ninth of his career.

Coming the day after Cliff Lee went the distance in a 1-0 victory, it marked the first time the Mariners had achieved back-to-back, complete-game wins since 1996.
Michael Saunders smacked a two-out, three-run homer in the sixth inning to break the inter-league game open. Ichiro Suzuki added a solo homer.
Cincinnati's Sam LeCure (1-4) gave up five runs on eight hits in six innings. Jonny Gomes drove in the Reds' only run. Cincinnati has lost five of its last six games.
