

'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 18 (UPI) -- Janko Tipsarevic claimed a tough semifinal victory Friday over Benjamin Becker at the UNICEF Open in the Netherlands.
Tipsarevic, the No. 7 seed, defeated the eighth-seeded Becker 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 6-4 in a match that took more than 2 1/4 hours. Tipsarevic managed one service break in each set to take the win. Both players had 15 aces and won 82 percent of the points on their first serve.
Sergiy Stakhovsky beat Xavier Malisse 6-3, 6-4 in the first semifinal, taking just 67 minutes to complete the task. He won 57 percent of the points in the match with two service breaks in each set making the difference.
Tipsarevic, No. 51 in the world, is looking for his first ATP championship while Stakhovsky, ranked 71st, owns two titles. The two have faced once before, with Stakhovsky taking a three-set victory in 2008.
The winner of Saturday's tournament title match will take home about $89,000 and the runner-up will settle for about $47,000.
