MINNEAPOLIS, June 17 (UPI) -- Ubaldo Jimenez picked up his major-league best 13th victory Thursday in helping the Colorado Rockies to a 5-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

Jimenez (13-1) allowed eight hits, two walks and one run -- that coming in the final inning of an eight-inning outing. No other pitcher has more than 10 wins this season.

The Rockies gave Jimenez breathing room early with a three-run first inning in which Troy Tulowitzki, who tripled, Miguel Olivo and Melvin Mora all drove in runs.

Those were all the runs Minnesota starter Francisco Liriano (6-4) would allow in his seven innings of work. He gave up five hits and walked three while striking out six.

Ryan Spilborghs connected off reliever Alex Burnett for a two-run home in the eight that made the score 5-0. It was his seventh home run of the season.

The Twins' lone run came on a Drew Butera single.
