Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NEW YORK, June 13 (UPI) -- Jorge Posada blasted his second grand slam in two days Sunday, sending the New York Yankees to a 9-5 victory over Houston and a series sweep.
Posada connected in the fifth inning off Brian Moehler (0-3) to put the Yankees up 7-1, one day after belting a grand slam in New York's 9-3 rout of the Astros.
The win, coupled with Tampa Bay's loss to Florida, gave the Yankees a share of first place in the American League East.
Robison Cano hit a solo homer and scored three runs, and Brett Gardner added two hits and an RBI for the Yankees, who won for the sixth time in seven games.
Phil Hughes (9-1) collected the victory despite allowing five runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Kevin Cash hit a two-run homer for Houston.
