
DENVER, June 12 (UPI) -- Carlos Gonzalez drove in the winning run Friday with a fifth-inning solo home run and Colorado beat Toronto 5-3 in a game called after six innings due to rain.
Ryan Spilborghs had three hits including a solo home run and scored twice for the Rockies, who won for the first time in four games. Seth Smith, Miguel Olivo and Clint Barmes each had an RBI for Colorado.
Ubaldo Jimenez (12-1) picked up his 12th win of the season -- tops in the majors. His ERA rose from 0.93 to 1.16 when he allowed three runs while walking five and striking out six.
The Blue Jays got a two-run home run from Aaron Hill and Lyle Overbay had two hits and one RBI.
Toronto starter Ricky Romero (5-3) went five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
The game started 1 hour and 45 minutes late and the rain continued to fall as the two teams got in six innings before the rain intensified and the umpires eventually called it.
