CINCINNATI, June 11 (UPI) -- Yuniesky Betancourt drove in his fourth run of the game with a two-out single in the 11th inning Friday, giving Kansas City a 6-5 victory over Cincinnati.

Micah Owings (3-2) came on for his first inning of work in the 11th and issued one-out walks to Billy Butler and Brayan Pena. After Alberto Callaspo flew out, Betancourt singled up the middle on an 0-1 pitch to bring home Butler.

Joakim Soria put two runners on with one away in the bottom of the 11th but retired Joey Votto on a foul pop-up and Scott Rolen on a liner to left to end the game.

Soria claimed his 15th save and preserved the first major league victory for Victor Marte (1-0), who also gave up two hits without allowing a run to score in the bottom of the 10th.
