PHILADELPHIA, June 6 (UPI) -- Oscar Salazar delivered a pinch-hit single to score Chase Headley in the 10th Sunday, giving the San Diego Padres a 6-5 decision over Philadelphia.
Danys Baez (2-2) gave up a lead-off single to Headley to start the frame. Headley went to second on Nick Hundley's sacrifice bunt and to third on an out.
Salazar then came on to hit for winning pitcher Mike Adams (1-1) and grounded a ball deep into the hole. Phillies shortstop Wilson Valdez flagged it down but was unable to throw to first in time, allowing Headley to come home and enabling the Padres to salvage one contest of a three-game weekend set.
Heath Bell notched his 15th save with a scoreless bottom of the 10th.
Adrian Gonzalez homered, went 3-for-5 and knocked in three runs for the Padres, and Hundley added a solo shot.
Ryan Howard collected two hits and plated three runs in the Phils' defeat.
