Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

HARRISON, N.J., June 5 (UPI) -- Seth Stammler's second goal of the season Saturday gave Red Bull New York its second victory in three days, a 1-0 win over Chivas USA.
Stammler got control of the ball in the offensive third during the game's 27th minute and fired a quick, left-footed shot past diving netminder Dan Kennedy.
With Saturday's win and their 2-1 victory over Houston Wednesday, New York goes into the World Cup break at 7-5-0.
Chivas USA fell to 3-8-1 after dropping its fifth straight game.
