HOUSTON, June 1 (UPI) -- Houston Astros pitcher Roy Oswalt won't be disciplined after being ejected from Monday's game, a major league baseball official says.
In fact, the game's vice president in charge of discipline, Bob Watson, told Houston's KRIV-TV it was umpire Bill Hohn who would be receiving a talking-to from Mike Port, baseball's vice president of umpiring.
"There will be nothing further coming from our office," Watson told the broadcaster. "There will be no further penalties for Roy Oswalt. The umpire will be talked to by Mike Port in a very stern way."
Oswalt, after pitching 2 1/3 innings against the Washington Nationals, was thrown out of the game by Hohn after coming down off the mound and pointing his glove at the umpire.
"I read something where one of the umpires said I showed him up, but I felt like he was showing me up, coming out, taking his mask off and pointing at me where I never even looked his way," Oswalt told KRIV.
"I wasn't even looking toward his way when I turned around and he's pointing at me saying something about you are going to keep your mouth shut or something."
