MLB: San Francisco 12, Arizona 1

SAN FRANCISCO, May 30 (UPI) -- Rookie first baseman Buster Posey went 3-for-4 with three RBI Saturday and the San Francisco Giants blasted Arizona 12-1.

Posey, the Giants' 2008 first-round draft choice, was promoted from Triple-A Fresno before Saturday's game and responded with three run-scoring singles.

Jose Uribe homered, went 3-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs and Eli Whiteside contributed a solo shot in San Francisco's fourth win in five games

Pablo Sandoval went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI and Aubrey Huff collected a pair of hits and plated a run in the blow-out victory.

Jonathan Sanchez (3-4) surrendered only one run on two hits over five innings to pick up the victory.

Arizona starter Billy Buckner (0-3) lasted only four innings, yielding seven runs on nine hits in the loss, the Diamondbacks' sixth straight setback.
