Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

WASHINGTON, May 29 (UPI) -- Carey Talley was given a penalty kick in stoppage time and he made the most of it Saturday, scoring to give D.C. United a 3-2 win over Chivas USA.
Talley easily scored on defender Dario Delgado in the 92nd minute. Delgado was forced to play in the nets after Chivas goalkeeper Zach Thornton was ejected for denying a goal-scoring opportunity for United's Santino Quaranta.
The win was just the second this year for United (2-8-0) and ended a three-match losing streak.
Andy Najar and Adam Cristman got D.C.'s other goals.
Justin Braun and Maykel Galindo for the the net for Chivas USA (3-7-1), which dropped its fourth straight match.
