MLB: Cincinnati 12, Houston 2

CINCINNATI, May 29 (UPI) -- Jay Bruce and Ramon Hernandez each socked two homers Saturday in the Cincinnati Reds' 12-2 rout of Houston.

Bruce powered a solo shot in the second to tie the game 1-1 and added a 3-run shot in the next frame, while Hernandez -- who went for 4-for-4 -- also homered in the big third inning and chipped in with another solo shot in the sixth to boost the Reds to their fourth straight win and seventh victory in nine contests.

Miguel Cairo and Drew Stubbs also launched round-trippers in Cincinnati's win.

Aaron Harang (4-5) was tough on the mound, allowing only one run on four hits over seven innings, walking two and striking out four for the Reds.

Astros starter Brian Moehler (0-2) was rocked for eight runs on 10 hits in just 2 2/3 innings of work.
