BALTIMORE, May 25 (UPI) -- Jeremy Guthrie held Oakland to one run over six innings Tuesday, helping the Baltimore Orioles to a 5-1 decision over the A's.

Guthrie (3-4) was tough, scattering six hits, walking three and fanning two to lift the O's to only their third win in 10 games. Guthrie has limited Oakland to two earned runs in 12 2/3 innings over two starts this season.

Nick Markakis hit a solo homer among his two hits, while Ty Wigginton, Adam Jones and Matt Wieters each added an RBI in Baltimore's win.

A's starter Dallas Braden, who hurled a perfect game this month, left the game after only four innings for undisclosed reasons.

Tyson Ross (1-3) replaced Braden and got the loss after allowing two runs in 1 2/3 innings.
