MINNEAPOLIS, May 22 (UPI) -- Jason Kubel's sacrifice fly in the 12th inning Saturday brought Joe Mauer home from third and gave the Minnesota Twins a 8-7 win over Milwaukee.
After Alexi Casilla led off the bottom of the 12th with a walk, Mauer singled off Manny Parra (0-3) and Justin Morneau drew a base on balls. After Michael Cuddyer grounded into a force at the plate, Kubel lofted a fly to right field and Mauer beat the throw home to give Minnesota its second straight interleague win over the Brewers.
Jesse Crain (1-0) notched the victory thanks to a scoreless top of the 12th.
Mauer was 4-for-7 with three runs scored, raising his average to .348, and Delmon Young tied the game in the ninth with a run-scoring double, one of three RBI for the day.
Morneau and Cuddyer had three hits and an RBI apiece in Minnesota's win.
Milwaukee erased a 6-2 deficit in the ninth inning, staging a five-run rally capped by Casey McGehee's RBI double to give the Brewers a brief lead.
Corey Hart homered, and Ricky Weeks and Carlos Gomez each plated a pair of runs in Milwaukee's loss, its 11th in 12 games.
