BALTIMORE, May 15 (UPI) -- Austin Kearns keyed a ninth-inning Indians rally Saturday, socking a three-run homer to lift Cleveland to an 8-2 win over Baltimore.
Trailing 2-0 entering their final at-bat, the Indians exploded for eight runs to win going away, taking their fourth win in six games.
Along with Kearns' go-ahead blast, Trevor Crowe knocked a two-run shot, Mike Redmond stroked a two-run double and Shin-Soo Choo collected an RBI single in the big rally.
The comeback made a winner of Mitch Talbot (5-2), who put in eight solid innings, allowing just two two runs on five hits and a pair of walks.
Ty Wigginton pounded out a pair of solo homers for Baltimore, raising his total to 12 -- one more than his entire 2009 output.
The O's blew a ninth inning lead for the fourth time this season. Alfredo Simon (0-1) was saddled with the loss after allowing the Indians to take the lead.
Orioles starter Brian Matusz tossed seven shutout innings, allowing seven hits and four walks while fanning six.
