Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 13 (UPI) -- Trey Hillman was fired Thursday as manager of the Kansas City Royals and replaced with former Milwaukee Brewers Manager Ned Yost.
Hillman, 47, was let go after the Royals snapped a 7-game losing streak with a 6-4 win over the Cleveland Indians. Even with the victory, Kansas City is 12-23 and only the Baltimore Orioles have a worse record this season.
Hillman was 151-207 in managing the Royals over just more than two seasons.
Yost, 55, was moved from the front office to take over as manager. He had been the team's special adviser to baseball operations since January. He was the manager of the Brewers from 2003-08, building a 457-502 record.
