SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 9 (UPI) -- Ryan Johnson, Joey Gjertsen, Chris Wondolowski and Bobby Burling notched goals Saturday as San Jose pounded Red Bull New York 4-0.

The Earthquakes also got three assists from Bobby Convey in the convincing win, which raised their record to 4-2-0.

New York had to play more than three-quarters of the game with only 10 men after Luke Sassano was given a red card for a rough tackle on Convey in the 13th minute.

The Quakes got all the scoring they would need just before halftime when Convey put a cross into the area and Johnson one-timed it past goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul.

New York fell to 5-2-0 with the loss.
