NEW YORK, May 8 (UPI) -- Henry Blanco's game-winning, walk-off homer in the 11th inning Saturday handed the New York Mets a 5-4 win over San Francisco.
Blanco's blast was his first as a Met and marked the second straight game in which a New York catcher ended the contest with a game winning homer. Rod Barajas went deep in the bottom of the ninth Friday to also give the Mets a win.
Blanco ended with three hits while Jason Bay and Angel Pagan each got two RBIs for the Mets, who notched their ninth straight home win.
Johan Santana got a no-decision after allowing four runs on eight hits in 7 2/3 innings of work, while the win went to Hisanori Takahashi (3-1) for tossing a perfect top half of the 11th.
San Francisco was led by Aubrey Huff with two RBI while Juan Uribe and Pablo Sandoval each drove in a run in the defeat.
