POINT VERDE BEACH, Fla., May 6 (UPI) -- Anthony Kim, fourth in this year's PGA FedEx Cup standings, will miss up to three months of PGA play following surgery on his left thumb.
Kim, who won the Shell Houston Open and has more than $2.5 million in earnings this year, underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb. Doctors said the injury was suffered "several months ago."
