PHILADELPHIA, May 4 (UPI) -- Carlos Ruiz socked a walk-off, game-winning home run in the 10th Tuesday to give the Philadelphia Phillies a 2-1 win over St. Louis.

Leading off the 10th inning against Blake Hawksworth (0-1), Ruiz launched a shot to left, triggering a home plate celebration at Citizens Bank Park.

Ruiz ended the game 2-for-3, collecting both Phillies RBIs, while Raul Ibanez chipped in by stroking a triple, scoring a run and walking twice.

Philadelphia starter Cole Hamels got a no-decision despite a sterling performance in which he allowed just one run in eight-plus innings, yielding eight hits and two walks while fanning eight.

Jose Contreras (2-1) pitched a scoreless 10th to get credit for the win.

Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright also pitched well, allowing only one run over eight strong innings.

Yadier Molina was 3-for-4 with an RBI double in the St. Louis loss.
