Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ONEIDA, N.Y., May 3 (UPI) -- Incarcerated former pro football player Plaxico Burress had his recreation privileges yanked for lying to a guard, New York prison disciplinary records reveal.
The New York Post reported Monday the former New York Giants receiver, serving a two-year prison term for a weapons conviction after shooting himself in the leg, was cited for a rules violation in November at the Oneida Correctional Facility.
The Post said Burress falsely told the guard he had permission to use his own cellphone to call his attorney. Burress was stripped of his recreation privileges and also was barred from using the phone for seven days.
