Miyazato wins Tres Marias by one stroke

MORELIA, Mexico, May 2 (UPI) -- Ai Miyazato shot a 6-under 67 Sunday, beating Stacy Lewis by a single stroke to claim the Tres Marias Championship in Mexico.

The Japanese star notched her third 2010 championship, finishing at 19-under-par 273, one better than Lewis, who carded a 66 to end at minus-18.


Michelle Wie fired a 5-under 68 to take third at 17-under 275, while In Kyung Kim ended alone in fourth thanks to her final round of 64, the lowest score of the day.

Fifth place went to Na Yeon Choi, who closed at minus-13 with a round of 71.

Mexican favorite Lorena Ochoa finished sixth in her final tournament before retiring. She shot a 71 in the final round to finish at 12-under-par 280.

Ochoa was the two-time defending champion in the Tres Marias tourney.
