TORONTO, May 2 (UPI) -- Alex Gonzalez and Fred Lewis each socked two-run homers Sunday in the Toronto Blue Jays' 9-3 rout of Oakland.

Aaron Hill chipped with a solo homer and a pair of RBI to back a strong effort by Blue Jays starter Shaun Marcum (1-1), who allowed only one run on six hits, walking four and striking out six over 6 1/3 innings.

The victory was Marcum's first since Sept. 11, 2008. He missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Oakland's Ben Sheets (1-3) was pounded for nine runs on eight extra-base hits in only 3 1/3 innings.
