MLB: Philadelphia 11, New York Mets 5

PHILADELPHIA, May 2 (UPI) -- Ryan Howard had three hits and Shane Victorino added a grand slam Sunday, sparking the Philadelphia Phillies to an 11-5 rout of the New York Mets.

A homer and double were among Howard's hits and Victorino's slam highlighted a nine-run Phillies uprising in the fourth inning that chased Mets starter Johan Santana (3-2) and handed Philadelphia the rubber match of a three-game weekend set at Citizens Bank Park.
