MLB: Colorado 4, San Francisco 1

SAN FRANCISCO, May 2 (UPI) -- Rookie Jhoulys Chacin tossed seven shutout innings Sunday, allowing only one hit and leading the Colorado Rockies to a 4-1 win over San Francisco.

Chacin (1-0) was dominant, taking a no-hitter into the fifth while striking out seven and walking three in just his second career start and first of the season.

The 22-year-old right-hander notched his first major league win in his 11th career appearance.

Melvin Mora led the Rockies at the plate, knocking in a pair of runs, while Ryan Spilborghs and Paul Phillips got RBIs as Colorado avoided a sweep of the three-game weekend series.

The Giants got their only run on a solo homer by Aubrey Huff as starter Jonathan Sanchez (2-2) faltered, allowing three runs on three hits and four walks over 4 2/3 innings.
