NEW YORK, May 1 (UPI) -- Derek Jeter delivered a go-ahead, two-run triple in the seventh inning Friday, lifting the New York Yankees to a 6-4 decision over the Chicago White Sox.

Jeter tied the contest with a two-run homer in the fifth in what was New York's third straight win.

New York rallied from an early three-run deficit. Alfredo Aceves (2-0) got the victory by working a scoreless seventh inning in relief of Andy Pettitte. Mariano Rivera struck out two in the ninth for his seventh save.

Chicago's Paul Konerko hit his 11th home run of the season, a three-run shot in the first. Matt Thornton (2-2) gave up Jeter's triple and took the loss.

Pettitte had been trying for his first 4-0 start in 13 years.
