MIAMI, April 28 (UPI) -- David Eckstein delivered a 3-run double Wednesday that helped the San Diego Padres post a 6-4 victory over the Florida Marlins.
Eckstein's big hit came in a 5-run fifth-inning rally that wiped out a 4-0 Florida lead and beat Nate Robertson (2-2), who allowed five runs and five hits over 4-plus innings.
The Padres loaded the bases with no one out in the fifth before Jerry Hairston Jr. broke the shutout with a single. Eckstein followed with a double down the left-field line that cleared the bases and tied the score at 4-4.
Adrian Gonzalez followed with a single that scored Eckstein.
The other Padres run came on Yorvit Torealba's eighth inning home run.
Kevin Correia (4-1) picked up the win despite allowing eight hits and four runs in five innings. But he was supported by a San Diego bullpen that only gave up two hits in the final four innings.
Florida, which has lost four of its last five games, scored in each of the first three innings. Jorge Cantu had a third-inning home run and drove in another run for the Marlins.
