MILWAUKEE, April 28 (UPI) -- Garrett Jones' RBI double in the 14th inning Wednesday broke a tie and lifted the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 6-5 comeback win over Milwaukee.

Aki Iwamura started the inning with a single off Manny Parra (0-1), the Brewers' seventh pitcher, and two outs later Jones laced a double into the right field corner, plating the speedy second baseman with the go-ahead score.

D.J. Carrasco (1-0) hurled a perfect bottom of the 14th to preserve the win, his third scoreless inning of relief for the Pirates, who took the rubber match of the three-game set after losing the first game 17-3.

The Brewers took a 5-4 lead into the ninth inning, but reliever Trevor Hoffman surrendered a game-tying, pinch-hit homer to Ryan Doumit -- the second straight game in which Doumit blasted a ninth-inning round-tripper off the Milwaukee closer, who blew his fourth save of the year.

Andrew McCutchen hit a pair homers, including a 10th inning solo shot that put the Pirates up briefly before Casey McGehee's RBI single in the bottom of the frame forced more overtime.

Carlos Gomez hit a two-run homer and doubled while Corey Hart added a solo shot for Milwaukee in the loss.
