ANAHEIM, Calif., April 28 (UPI) -- Howie Kendrick's two-out bunt single in the ninth Wednesday brought in Torii Hunter from third and gave the Los Angeles Angels a 4-3 win over Cleveland.

Hunter rallied the Angels into a tie with a three-run homer in the sixth and then doubled to start the ninth off Joe Smith (0-1). Hideki Matsui was intentionally walked and, after Rafael Perez relieved Smith, Kendry Morales grounded into a double play that moved Hunter to third.

Juan Rivera drew an intentional walk and Chris Perez came on to replace Rafael Perez.

Kendrick surprised the Indians by pushing a bunt past Perez on the first pitch and beat it out for the run-scoring base hit.

The win went to Brian Fuentes (1-1), who escaped the top of the ninth unscathed despite putting runners on first and second with one out.

Los Angeles has won three of four and the Indians have lost three of four. The Angels finished a 10-game homestand at 6-4 and will start a 10-game road trip Friday at Detroit.
