CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 26 (UPI) -- Vince Carter netted 21 points Monday and the Orlando Magic bounced Charlotte 99-90 to sweep their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series 4-0.
Jameer Nelson scored 18 points, Rashard Lewis added 17 and Matt Barnes chipped in with 14 for the second-seeded Magic, who advance to play the winner of the Atlanta-Milwaukee series.
The Hawks and Bucks are tied at two games apiece after four games of their first-round series. Milwaukee beat Atlanta 111-104 Monday in Game 4.
The Magic denied the Bobcats their first-ever post-season win despite another less-than-stellar performance from Dwight Howard, who was held to six points. He finished the four-game series with 39 points and 37 rebounds, going 13-of-35 from the free throw line.
The victory marked the first four-game playoff sweep in Orlando franchise history.
Tyrus Thomas led the Bobcats with 21 points. Charlotte ended its first post-season appearance without a win.
