MLB: Chi. Cubs 4, Washington 3 (10 inns.)

CHICAGO, April 26 (UPI) -- Aramis Ramirez drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th inning Monday, lifting the Chicago Cubs to a 4-3 victory over Washington.

Ryan Theriot led off the 10th with a single off Washington reliever Brian Bruney (1-1). After Jeff Baker struck out, Derrek Lee walked and Marlon Byrd dropped a wind-aided bloop single into center field to load the bases, setting up Ramirez's game-winning base on balls.

Ramirez also notched an RBI double, Byrd got three hits and drove in a run and Theriot added two hits as the Cubs won a fourth straight game for the first time this season.

Carlos Marmol (1-0) pitched a scoreless 10th inning to pick up the win while Cubs starter Carlos Silva allowed three runs on seven hits over seven innings.

Adam Dunn had three hits and Josh Willingham collected a pair of hits and an RBI for the Nationals.
