Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 24 (UPI) -- Guillermo Barros Schelotto got the only goal of the game Saturday, staking the Columbus Crew to a 1-0 decision over Real Salt Lake.
Schelotto's goal was his third in three games for Columbus (2-0-1), which avenged a loss to Salt Lake in last year's playoffs.
The Crew took the lead late in the first half when, after Salt Lake's Robbie Russell knocked down Robbie Rogers inside the box, Schelotto drove to the left side and kicked it past sprawling goalie Nick Rimando for his third tally of the season.
Columbus goalie William Hesmer made four saves, including a fine save on breakaway by Salt Lake striker Robbie Findley late in the game.
Real Salt Lake fell to 1-3-1 with the loss.
