NBA: Boston 106, Miami 77

BOSTON, April 21 (UPI) -- Ray Allen scored 25 points Tuesday and the Boston Celtics routed Miami 106-77 to take a 2-0 lead in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

Allen was deadly from outside, sinking seven 3-pointers, while Glen Davis -- playing in place of suspended Kevin Garnett -- drained 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Celtics, who shot 48 percent from the field.


Kendrick Perkins ended with 13 points and hauled down nine rebounds and Paul Pierce also contributed 13 points as the Celtics headed to Miami for Friday's Game 3 with the momentum in the series.

Dwyane Wade pumped in 29 points while Mario Beasley put in 13 points and collected seven rebounds in the Heat's loss.
