PITTSBURGH, April 21 (UPI) -- Ryan Braun, Rickie Weeks and Jody Gerut homered as part of a 12-hit attack Thursday, powering the Milwaukee Brewers to an 8-0 win over Pittsburgh.

The Brewers won their third in a row, getting a combined four-hitter from Yovani Gallardo and three relievers.

Braun hit a solo homer in the first, Weeks delivered a two-run shot in the fifth and Gerut had a two-run blast in the sixth.

All three home runs came off Zach Duke (2-1), who was trying to become the first Pittsburgh starter in three seasons to win in his first three appearances.

Gallardo (1-2) allowed three hits and struck out 10 in five innings. Carlos Villanueva, Todd Coffey and LaTroy Hawkins combined to give up a hit over the final four.
