Colts tackle sued by hotel clerk

INDIANAPOLIS, April 21 (UPI) -- Indianapolis Colts tackle Eric Foster is being sued by a hotel clerk who says he sexually assaulted her in his room in January, court records show.

The alleged assault occurred just hours before the Colts won the AFC Championship Jan. 24, The Indianapolis Star reported Wednesday.

The team was staying at the University Place Conference Center & Hotel in Indianapolis when Foster allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old female hotel clerk who had brought a delivery to his room, said the lawsuit filed in Marion Superior Court.

The lawsuit accuses Foster of sexual battery and bodily injury and seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

Foster, through his lawyer, Jim Voyles, denied the allegations. Foster passed a polygraph test and local police investigated the clerk's charges in January. Prosecutors declined to bring charges, the Star reported.

Foster is "ready, willing and able" to defend himself against the allegations, Voyles said.
