NHL: Colorado 1, San Jose 0 (OT)

DENVER, April 19 (UPI) -- Ryan O'Reilly was credited with an overtime goal on a deflected San Jose pass Monday and Colorodo stunned the Sharks 1-0 in a playoff battle.

The win gave the Avalanche a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

The winning goal came 51 seconds into overtime. San Jose's Dan Boyle made a backhand pass and the puck appeared to deflect off the stick of O'Reilly before going into the net.

Winning goalie Craig Anderson turned away 51 shots fired by the top-seeded Sharks. Loser Evgeni Nabokov had just 16 saves.
