CHARLESTON, S.C., April 16 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki won in straight sets Friday and Jelena Jankovic was an upset victim in the quarterfinals of the Family Circle Cup.

Wozniacki, ranked second in the world and coming off a triumph at Ponte Vedra Beach last week, cruised past Nadia Petrova 6-3, 6-4. Petrova, winner of this event four years ago, suffered five double faults.

Vera Zvonareva earned a semifinal meeting with Wozniacki thanks to a 7-5, 6-2 decision over Melanie Oudin.

The other semifinal will send Daniela Hantuchova against Samantha Stosur.

Hantuchova eliminated Jankovic 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 and Stosur was a 6-4, 6-1 winner over Peng Shuai in a match that lasted just 61 minutes.
