LUTZ, Fla., April 16 (UPI) -- Mark O'Meara, in his fourth year on the Champions Tour and still looking for his first victory, took the lead Friday at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am.

O'Meara shot an opening-round 6-under 65 at the TPC-Tampa Bay course to grab a one-shot advantage over Mike Reid and defending champion Nick Price.

Tom Watson, who at age 60 finished a shot under par at last week's Masters, shared fourth place with a 67.

Joining Watson at that figure were Tom Pernice, Bernhard Langer and Tommy Armour III. Tom Kite was among those at 68.

Champions Tour rookie and leading money winner Fred Couples shot an even-par 71. Couples, a winner on the Champions Tour three times this year, finished sixth at the Masters.
