Also charged are Pan American Investment and Mortgage Corp. President Irina J. Ball and Coral Gables, Fla., lawyer Maria T. Lopez, who was disbarred in January for improper handling of client matters, authorities said.

All three are charged with organized fraud, organized scheme to defraud, first-degree grand theft and fraudulent use of an identity, The Miami Herald reported.

Nails and Ball allegedly stole the identity of Delores Porter, 74, to get a $510,000 mortgage in her name for a condominium in Miami's fashionable South Beach neighborhood, an arrest warrant charges.

Lopez acted as the deal's closing agent, the Miami-Dade County Mortgage Fraud Task Force alleges.

Ball allegedly paid $49,625 to Nails as part of the deal, prosecutors say.

Nails, a former offensive lineman for the Bills and later for the Miami Dolphins, could not immediately be reached for comment.
