Seth Smith drove in three runs for Colorado and the Rockies also had two-RBI nights from Clint Barmes and Brad Hawpe.

David Wright had a solo home run for the Mets. Rod Barajas and Jason Bay drove in the other two runs. John Maine (0-1) lasted three innings and gave up eight runs on seven hits.

Colorado scored a pair of runs in the first inning and then added six more in the third inning, all with two outs. Seth Smith had the big blow in the frame with a two-run homer.

Wright homered in the sixth and Barajas drove in a run in the seventh with a sacrifice fly but the Rockies scored three in the bottom of the seventh.
