
BALTIMORE, April 13 (UPI) -- Carlos Pena belted a three-run, 10th-inning homer Tuesday, boosting the Tampa Bay Rays to an 8-6 victory over Baltimore.
The clout capped a 3-for-5 performance for Pena, who also recorded an RBI single in a five-run eighth-inning comeback that saw Tampa Bay overcome a 3-0 deficit.
Evan Longoria crossed home plate twice and drove in a pair of runs and Lance Cormier (1-0) received the victory for hurling a scoreless ninth, as the Rays took their second straight win in a three-game set at Camden Yards.
Tampa Bay starter Jeff Niemann ended with a no-decision after giving up three runs on eight hits and a walk in seven innings.
The O's were led by Luke Scott, whose two-run, pinch-hit homer in the bottom of the eighth tied it up for Baltimore and the sent the contest into extra innings.
The Orioles have lost five straight games.
