
CLEVELAND, April 12 (UPI) -- Nelson Cruz socked a two-run homer in the 10th inning Monday, lifting the Texas Rangers to a 4-2 triumph over Cleveland in the Indians' home opener.
Cruz's homer was his fifth of the season, tops in the American League. He also leads the league with 11 RBI and boasts a .458 batting average.
Joaquin Arias contributed a pair of hits while Michael Young had an RBI as the Rangers raised their record to 4-3.
Rich Harden gave up just two runs over six innings, walking three and fanning two for Texas while Frank Francisco (2-2) earned the victory after tossing a scoreless ninth inning.
Neftali Feliz registered his first save of the season with a perfect 10th.
Shin-Soo Choo went deep en route to a 3-for-3 day for the Indians, losers of four straight games.
