HOUSTON, April 11 (UPI) -- Ryan Howard's seventh-inning two-run homer lifted the Philadelphia Phillies to a 9-6 victory over Houston Saturday.
Shane Victorino added a two-run dinger and three RBI while Jayson Werth chipped in by driving home three runs as the Phillies' bats remained hot with their fifth double-digit run total in the team's first five games.
Winless Houston scored five times in the third inning off 47-year-old starter Jamie Moyer (1-0), but Philadelphia charged back to salvage the win for the veteran hurler as he began his 24th major league season.
The victory also assured the Phillies of taking a series in Houston for the first time since 2006.
Jason Michaels socked a two-run homer and drove in three runs while Hunter Pence also launched a two-run shot in the Astros' loss, their fifth straight to start the season.
