ARLINGTON, Texas, April 10 (UPI) -- Franklin Gutierrez hit an RBI single to highlight a three-run ninth inning rally Saturday, lifting the Seattle Mariners to a 4-3 win over Texas.
Trailing 3-1 going into the ninth, Casey Kotchman led off with a single and Rob Johnson coaxed a walk off Frank Francisco (1-2). Jack Wilson's sacrifice moved both runners along and Ichiro Suzuki and Ken Griffey Jr. following by notching RBI singles to tie the score.
The Rangers sent Darren O'Day to the mound and Gutierrez greeted him with a run-scoring single to plate Ichiro with the eventual winning run.
Mark Lowe (1-1) got the win thanks to a scoreless eighth inning while starter Felix Hernandez earned a no-decision after hurling seven innings and allowing three runs on seven hits.
Nelson Cruz smacked a homer and Joaquin Arias went 3-for-3 in the Texas loss, the third in four games for the Rangers.
