Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla., April 9 (UPI) -- No. 1 seed Caroline Wozniacki coasted into the semifinals Friday at the MPS Group Championships.
Wozniacki, runner-up at last year's U.S. Open, defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-1, 6-3. Pavlyuchenkova won her first professional tournament last month.
Also reaching the semifinals were Dominika Cibulkova, Elena Vesnina and Olga Govortsova.
Cibulkova was a 7-5, 6-1 winner over Aleksandra Wozniak, who reached the finals here last year. Vesnina, seeded fourth, ousted Melanie Oudin 6-2, 6-1.
Govortsova was a 6-3, 6-2 winner over Varvara Lepchenko, setting up a semifinal encounter with Cibulkova.
