
ANAHEIM, Calif., April 7 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Kings school three straight goals to force overtime and Anze Kopitar's shootout goal gave the Kings a 5-4 win over Anaheim Tuesday.
The Kings were down 4-1 in the second period when they got consecutive third-period goals from Alex Frolov, Justin Williams and Michal Handzus to erase the deficit. Dustin Brown also scored for LA.
Teemu Selanne had a pair of goal for the Ducks, who were eliminated from the playoffs earlier in the evening when Colorado won in Vancouver. Jason Blake and Bobby Ryan also scored for Anaheim.
Anaheim's Curtis McKinney allowed four goals on 40 shots. Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick was pulled in the second period after being touched for three goals on eight shots, Erik Ersberg finished up the game with a dozen saves.
After Selanne's goal at 12:19 of the second period gave Anaheim a 4-1 advantage, Frolov tipped in a power-play goal at 16:41 of the second period to make it 4-2. The Kings tied the game on Williams' backhander at 7:56 of the third and a goal by Handzus at 18:51 with an assist from Williams.
