Baltimore took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and could not produce another run until a ground-rule double by Garrett Atkins brought in Matt Wieters from second with one away in the ninth.

With the potential tying run on second, Rafael Soriano preserved the victory by getting Ty Wigginton to ground out and Brian Roberts to fly out.

Tampa Bay was trailing 2-1 going into the fifth when Reid Brignac and Jason Bartlett opened the inning with singles. Two outs later, Longoria doubled to center off losing pitcher Jeremy Guthrie to bring home the tying and go-ahead runs.

Longoria homered in the eighth to provide a vital insurance tally.

Matt Garza worked eight innings to get the victory, giving up one earned run on four hits with nine strikeouts.
