HOUSTON, April 7 (UPI) -- Edgar Renteria was 5-for-5 with two RBI and Aaron Rowand had four hits Wednesday in the San Francisco Giants' 10-4 pounding of Houston.
Rowand had a triple and drove in two runs and John Bowker socked a two-run homer as the Giants swept a three-game road series at Minute Maid Park for the first time since May 15-17, 2006.
Travis Ishikawa had a pinch-hit solo homer in the ninth, Cory Sullivan hit a two-run triple and Jeremy Affeldt (1-0) was credited with the win, thanks to 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Brett Myers, in his debut with the Astros, escaped with a no-decision after being roughed up for four runs on 12 hits, one walk and three strikeouts over six-plus innings.
Houston signed Myers to a one-year deal after the veteran hurler had spent eight years with the Phillies.
