Greul, Rochus ousted at Morocco

CASABLANCA, Morocco, April 6 (UPI) -- Two high seeds -- No. 6 German Simon Greul and No. 7 Belgian Olivier Rochus -- were ousted Tuesday at the Grand Prix Hassan II tennis tournament in Casablanca.

Greul was dispatched by Czech Jan Hajek 7-6 (7-3), 6-4, while Rochus was victimized by former top-10 Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-1, 6-1 on Day 2 at the clay courts of the Complexe Sportif al Amal.

Also Tuesday, Florent Serra of France, who finished second in last year's Casablanca event, defeated Spaniard Santiago Ventura 6-4, 6-3, while French compatriot Arnaud Clement blasted Spanish qualifier Ivan Navarro 6-3, 6-3.

Jarkko Nieminen of Finland had little trouble with Moroccan wild card Mehdi Ziadi 6-1, 6-1.
